Every profession bears the responsibility to understand the circumstances that enable its existence- Robert Gutman
Over the past 2 years, we at Royal Cup have been highlighting our commitment to sustainability and our impact on the environments we touch. We have looked deeply into our operations, ordering, processing and beyond to find ways that we can do things better.
We have worked with the Carbon Disclosure Project to measure our carbon footprint, while partnering tirelessly with causes such as the National Coffee Association and The Nature Conservancy to make a positive impact on our environments. We also work with the Rainforest Alliance and Fair Trade USA to ensure we are addressing issues such as poverty, education, healthcare and deforestation in the growing regions.
We are very excited about the direction that we as a business are headed, but there is still work to do!
Attached HERE is our latest Sustainability Report recapping 2014. And while the word “report” may make you want to snooze, we highly recommend you take the time to glance at the short document (best viewed on computer or tablet for full resolution).
It’s a quick read, and it displays what we are doing in the fields of economic stability, environmental stewardship and social responsibility.
We’ve come a long way since the 2013 report and we can’t wait to see where we’ll be for the 2015 report. But we invite you, our loyal Royal Cup fan, to take a look and give us some feedback. Because in the end, we’re all in this together.
